Side-Loading Sample Holders - PMMA

Side-loading sample holders are an excellent option for minimizing preferred orientation in powder samples. These are easier and faster to load than top or back-loading sample holders and offer excellent performance.

Well sizes are available in 25 and 30mm with depths of 1mm, and 2mm. 30x1mm is most popular and a good compromise between sample volume, surface area, and ease of loading. The larger surface area helps to minimize scatter from the holder itself at low angles.

Any of these can be loaded with a simple glass plate covering the sample well, but for those loading several of these each day, consider our side-loading tool.

*Not recommended for D4 and D8 Endeavor systems due to their unique automation.
