Adjustable height sample holders - Stainless Steel

XRD analysis of pellets and other solid samples with variable thicknesses is usually performed by mounting the sample in clay. While this works well for many materials, movement during the scan is always a risk which increases with the thickness of clay used. These sample holders are designed with a center section that can be adjusted to accommodate samples from <1mm to 5.5mm in thickness. Mounting in clay is still recommended, but much less is required. The stainless steel version of this holder is compatible with pellets up to 42mm in diameter. 

They are available with and without a zero-background plate installed. 

The optional adjusting tool (highly recommended) makes it much easier to set the sample surface right at the plane of diffraction.
